Filippo joined HLD Milan office in February 2020.
Prior to joining HLD he worked as strategic consultant for 6 years, in AlixPartners before and BCG afterwards. During his experience in consulting Filippo was involved in multiple engagements of business and financial planning, as well as general EBITDA improvement, often for private equity owned companies.
Filippo is a graduate from Bocconi University in Milan.
Christophe Bernardini is a leading executive, recognised for his knowledge and expertise in the aviation and service industries. Aeronautical engineer, Christophe holds an executive MBA from HEC Paris and has held executive management positions for airlines, equipment manufacturers and maintenance providers. His extensive industry operational expertise and know-how in transformations, acquisitions and complex restructurings. As a consultant he accompanies businesses seeking new development strategies, acquisitions and divestment opportunities.
He joined HLD in 2019 as Operating Partner Aerospace & Defence.
Virgile joined HLD in February 2020.
He started his career at McKinsey&Company, where he worked for PE funds in the context of due diligence and value creation plans, as well as for entrepreneurs considering a opening their capital.
He also worked as strategic projects manager for WALLIX, European cybersecurity software editor.
Virgile graduated from HEC Paris Business School and holds a M2 in Public Law – Public Affairs from La Sorbonne Paris I.
Xavier Buck is a Luxembourg entrepreneur and investor who, over the last 20 years, has made a name for himself in the field of information and communication technologies. In particular, he founded the domain name registrar EuroDNS and the hosting company Datacenter Luxembourg in 2000. In 2012, he created the Dicé Invest investment vehicle to enable him to support and invest in start-ups and companies with potential. He sits on numerous Boards of Directors and advisory boards.
She began her career at IGS then KPMG, she became Finance Director for Fondation de France. In Luxembourg from 2007, she worked at PwC then in Private Banking, notably participating in the launch of the Luxembourg Foundation.
She is also the CEO of the Sherpas network of directors, director for ING Luxembourg, Spinecap (Private Equity) and of the Endowment Fund HLD pour la Méditerranée.
Anne graduated from Sc Po (Paris), is Chartered Accountant (France) and certified in Risk Management (ICHEC – Brussels).
Cédric Chateau joined HLD Group Europe as a Partner and Chairman of the Investment Analysis Committee on January 1st, 2020.
Graduated from the School of Management of Lyon, Cédric Chateau began his career in the consulting firm Deloitte in 1998.
In 2001, he decided to join the field of Private Equity throughthe investment fund PAI Partners.
In 2005, he was appointed Partner at Advent International, in charge of the entire French market and with a strong exposure to Emerging Markets (notably China and India).
14 years later and after 18 years of experience in Private Equity and more than a dozen performed transactions, he has joined HLD Group Europe.
Viviane Clauss has 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector in France and Germany, and in the financial sector in Luxembourg (Private Banking and Investment Funds).
After graduating from the EM Business School University of Strasbourg), she specialized in business development, marketing, communication and digital. She is the Marketing Director of Banque de Luxembourg since 2000 and she is behind the launch of the Women & Heritage initiative within the Bank.
She joined HLD Europe’s Board of Directors in January 2020.
Guglielmo joined HLD in June 2019 and is based in Milan.
He gained previous experience in finance earlier in Pictet (Geneva) and later in Fideuram (London).
Guglielmo holds a Master in International Management from IE Business School.
Following a 13-year career in the Luxembourg steel industry, Robert joined a major German cement manufacturer to take charge of the prefabricated concrete division. In 2006, he carried out an MBO (management buyout) of his division, and then took it over in 2010. Active as a business angel for numerous start-ups, Robert has also run the Fedil Business Federation Luxembourg for 10 years.
Robert is also on the Board of Petroteq Energy Inc.
Robert is a graduate of Liège University and is a structural engineer.
Geoffroy joined HLD in 2014.
Geoffroy is a graduate of INSEEC Business School and has a Advanced master degree in financial engineering from EM Lyon Business School.
Hans-Peter Diener’s role at HLD is that of a Senior Advisor to those seeking investment opportunities in Switzerland.
Hans-Peter is currently Chairman of the Board of Nüssli. He started his career on the M&A teams at Jacobs Suchard in 1984. Next, Hans-Peter became CEO first of Saurer’s Rotor Spinning division, then of Walter Meier Holding AG and lastly of Bellevue Asset Management.
Hans-Peter is a graduate of ETH Zurich university and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Alessandra joined HLD in March 2019 and is based in Milan.
Previously, she worked as an executive assistant for 2 years in Anima SGR and for 9 years in Clessidra SGR.
Alessandra supports the management of the Italian offices logistics, accounting and administration.
William Drumain joined HLD in January 2016.
He used to be an associate in the mergers and acquisitions team at Citi, Paris, where he covered the French large-caps market (companies and funds). He also has experience in the mergers and acquisitions team at Citi, London, as well as at Goldman Sachs, Paris, and in private equity at Time for Growth.
Gabriel is a Partner since 2018.
He has 25-year experience in investment, especially in private equity. After join 3i company in 1989, Gabriel Fossrier co-founded and is the General Director of Perfectis Private Equity since 2000.
Gabriel is a graduate of Institut Supérieur de Commerce de Paris, Advance Management Program from INSEAD and Cercle des Hautes Etudes Européennes organized by ENA.
Maxence joined HLD in 2013.
He used to be a mergers and acquisitions analyst at the merchant bank DC Advisory.
Maxence is an HEC business school graduate.
Olivier joined HLD in January 2016.
He used to work at Editis (Interforum), in the E-Commerce team.
Olivier is a graduate of Lyon’s ESAIL interior architecture school.
Salim joined HLD in 2016.
He began his career as a consultant at McKinsey. In 2013, he joined Murex, a software publisher dedicated to capital markets, as senior consultant and project manager.
Salim is a graduate of the Ecole polytechnique and of Columbia University.
Hélène Kiavué joined the HLD group in June 2018. She spent 5 years as a management assistant at Unibail-Rodamco Westfied specializing in the holding, development and management of leading assets in the retail sector.
Hélène is a graduate of a management degree and a BTS business communication option advertising.
Jean-Bernard is a Founding Partner of HLD.
Having earned his stripes in the personal staffs of government ministers, Jean-Bernard joined the merchant bank Lazard in 1993. Following three years as a mergers and acquisitions consultant for major French companies, he joined BNP as Strategy Director, then becoming Head of Capital Markets and, finally, Chairman of Banque Directe. He was recruited by Wendel in 2001, as Managing Director and then Chairman of the Board. He turned Wendel around, in particular by making the investments in Editis and Bureau Veritas.
Is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and of Mines ParisTech.
Constance joined HLD Associés Europe as Deputy Director in 2019, and has held the position of Managing Director since January 2021.
She started her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a financial auditor. For 15 years, she has worked within finance departments in an international and varied environment : first at CDC Entreprises, then in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department of Dassault Systèmes. She then held the position of Controlling Manager at Post Luxembourg, a benchmark national player in the distribution of postal, banking and telecommunications services.
Constance is a graduate of ESCP Europe.
Julie joined HLD team in January 2015. She used to be an analyst in the small and mid-caps investment team at Bpifrance.
She also has experience of financial audit and consulting for financial institutions at PwC Luxembourg.
Julie has a Master’s in Finance and Banking Techniques from Panthéon-Assas University, Paris.
Philippe Lepot joined HLD in 2018.
Having started his career in the development of IT solutions in the financial field, he joined MasterCard International. First, he supervised European bank projects and then, he took part in the development of new technological products. He joined Luxembourg in 2011 and started his consultant firm dealing with supporting companies in implementation and utilisation of computer tools.
Julia joined HLD’s investment team in December 2018.
She has a first experience in Private Equity at Extendam, where she was part of the investment team. Before that she worked in mergers and acquisitions at Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance Investment bank.
Julia graduated from the Master 225 in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering from Paris-Dauphine University.
Cécile joined the group in January 2019.
She has experience in performance management within the Norauto Group and in entrepreunership throughout the operational launch of a French eco-responsible hotel.
Cécile graduated from IESEG School of Management in corporate and market finance.
Alessandro joined HLD as partner in November 2018. He is based in Milan and is heading HLD’s operations in Italy.
Alessandro has a 25 years experience in private equity investments on the Italian market. He started in 1992 as an analyst in Chase-Gemina and moved to IMI-ABN AMRO in 1994. From 1997 to 2003 he was investment director at Arca Impresa Gestioni and then joined Clessidra as Partner at its start in 2003. In Clessidra, the largest Italian middle market private equity country fund, he was directly involved in several investments, board seats and exits, besides in the capital raising of three funds totaling €2.5bn. In 2016 Alessandro left Clessidra and launched ClubInvest, an innovative investment structure for private investors. In April 2018 he also raised a €110mln Italy stock exchange listed investment vehicle together with a primary US institutional sponsor.

Mikael joined HLD in April 2018.
Previously he was in the field of financial auditing and consultant at BDO for holding and funds management companies.
Mikael is a graduate of the Skema Business School with a master of science in Corporate Financial Management.
Salomé Perruchon joined HLD and is based in Milan.
Having gained some experience of financial management at Hermès, Salomé started out as an analyst in the investment team at Perfectis Private Equity. In 2010, she joined the team at Eight Advisory. She left Paris to join the Milanese consultancy New Deal Advisory in 2014, before starting at HLD as part of our project to expand into Italy.
Salomé has a Master’s in Economics and Finance from Toulouse Business School.
Antoine joined HLD in October 2015.
He previously worked at the strategic consultancy firm Advention Business Partners, where he carried out projects for CAC 40 companies, SMEs and private equity funds. He also has experience in the mergers and acquisitions department of Edmond de Rothschild.
Antoine is a graduate of EMLYON Business School.
Geoffroi joined HLD in November 2016.
He has previous experience as Marketing & Commercial Support at SGG Luxembourg and he had the opportunity to lead a study in a support office for the creation of small and midsize businesses in France.
Geoffroi is graduated from ICN Business School in accounting and finance and he has the AMF certification.
Simon joined HLD in 2016. He was previously a M&A analyst at DC Advisory.
He also has experience of financial audit in banking and insurance at EY.
Simon is a graduate of Neoma Business School (eg ESC Rouen).
Marietta Simonyan joined the HLD group in 2019.
She spent 5 years as an executive assistant at Homac Aviation Services, a company specializing in aviation projects in Europe and Africa.
Marietta manages shareholder relations, as well as the management and administration of the Luxembourg offices.
She holds a degree in accounting assistant and a BTS in trilingual management assistant. She speaks French, English, German, German, Russian and Armenian.
Jean-Hubert joined HLD as a Partner in March 2015.
He started his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen in 1994, and then joined the mergers and acquisitions department of Société Générale in 1998, before moving to Rothschild & Cie in 2000. He then joined Astorg Partners in 2006, handling investments in Staci, Trescal and Metalor, as well as 13 build-ups in the world.
Jean-Hubert is a graduate of Mines ParisTech.
Anthony joined the group in January 2019.
He has a first experience in the accounting firm LS and experience in accounting within the Intertrust group.
Anthony graduated from ICN Business School in Nancy in Msc Finance, Insurance & Risk Management and has the AMF certification.
Davide joined HLD in March 2019 and is based in Milan.
He gained previous experience in M&A, earlier in Mediobanca Group and later in Natixis, where he took part to multiple buy-side advisory projects for corporate and institutional clients.
Davide holds a MSc in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where he currently collaborates as assistant lecturer in corporate finance.
Christine Fornaroli spent 10 years in private banking in Luxembourg.
Founding and Managing Partner of her own company which provides tailor-made services to individuals and businesses, she also gained a strong expertise in real estate investments.
Having a dual nationality Luxembourgish and Belgian, she is fluent in 6 languages and has developed a deep, personal understanding of cross-cultural issues.
Christine is a Certified Board Director currently serving on the board of different companies in Luxembourg, France and Italy.
She joined HLD Group as an Independent Board Member in December 2019.
