S3K was created by the merger of 10 leading Italian companies active in physical, logical, integrated, and multidisciplinary security solutions, each with its own specialty. The purpose of the integration was to create a national one-stop-shop for the industry, with multidisciplinary competences and a leading position as a platform for future aggregation.

In July 2021, HLD acquired a majority stake in S3K alongside the management of the original companies, which reinvested a significant part of their proceeds.

S3K boasts a solid and diversified customer base consisting of more than 500 customers from various industries (incl. TMT, Finance, Industrials, Healthcare, Transportation, Digital Providers, etc.), both public and private, as well public authorities, and constitutes a solid platform for building out a leading player in the still-fragmented Italian cybersecurity market, which is expected to see double-digit growth in the next years.

We are working closely with S3K’s Management to finalize the integration and complete the organic growth plan based on newly introduced services and technologies in the cybersecurity space (SOC, AI, etc.). Regarding plans for external growth, S3K is scouting new M&A opportunities to expand its services and enhance its value proposition, as well as opportunities to consolidate its leadership position in the Italian market.
